Parliament passes agreement with Sweden

TIRANA, Sept. 19 – The Albanian parliament passed Monday the agreement on cooperation with Sweden. The two countries have agreed to cooperate in the fight against corruption. Sweden has helped Albania to create the necessary administration capacities in this fight. It supports the reforms of the government and the country’s efforts toward the integration into the European Union. The joint strategy goes until the end of 2007 covering good governance, sustained use of natural resources, environment,, economic growth and others. In 2005 Sweden spent some 6.4 million euro in different projects.
