Raiffeisen Bank funds 16 libraries in Tirana and Kukes schools

TIRANA, April 17 – Raiffeisen Bank funded the launch and rehabilitation of eight libraries in in Tirana schools and eight in northeastern Kukes. That is part of a UNICEF project which has involved until now 178 schools countrywide. It had resulted that Albanian students read very little compared to the European peers, something which served to promote the “Albania reads” project started in 2006. the project goal is to create or enrich a library to every school. The project has involved public houses that have donated until now up to 2,000 books. Chamber of commerces have also been included.
