Tirana-Podgorica line in 2007

TIRANA, Feb. 13 – General Director of Public Energy Transmission Society (OST) Ymer Balla declared that the construction of Tirana-Podgorica interconnection line will start within the first half of 2007. It will have a capacity of 400 kV. The heads of OST along with the funding entity, German Bank KfW are working on the final stage of tender held by KfW on selection of the company that will carry out construction. The total allocated funds reach 42 million euros. The interconnection line will be started this year and completed in 2008. It will be 168 km long.
