TIRANA, Dec. 15 – The Tirana City Hall has decided to plant some 2,000 trees and bushes around the capital during December, adding green spaces to the capital.
The authorities said they had planned to plant trees in some 15 hectares of land in the city.
That is a good initiative taking into consideration that much of the capital’s area has been covered with concrete during the last two decades.
Smog has significantly increased in the capital now that, despite many of its former factories and plants have been closed; it has a great number of cars and other vehicles, also added daily from other towns.
