21 Deaths From COVID-19/ The Curfew Continues to Stay in Place from 20:00 to 6:00

The Ministry of Health in Albania reported 21 more deaths related to the coronavirus in the last 24 hours: five deaths were registered in Tirana, 3 deaths in Elbasan, 2 deaths in Vlora, 2 deaths in Fier, 2 deaths in Shkodër, 2 deaths in Durrës, while Dibra, Kruja, Saranda, Kavaja and Lushnja registered one death each. The victims’ age varies between 48 and 89 years old. After 3,691 tests, 986 more citizens have been infected by COVID-19, while 849 citizens have recovered in the last 24 hours. The national death tally is now 1,736. The total number of active cases is 35,419. Tirana continues to be the worst-hit city, with 22,444 active cases. The curfew in force will continue to be from 20:00 to 06:00, after the Committe of Experts decided today to extend the curfew.

Meanwhile, five deaths were registered in Kosovo in the last 24 hours: Deçan (62 years old), Obiliq (30 years old), Podujevë (76 years old), Prishtinë (82 years old), and Prizren (77 years old). In total, 1,587 people have died since the beginning of the pandemic in the country.  Furthermore, 437 new infections were reported in the last 24 hours, and 255 recoveries. The active positive cases are now 7,145. In Greece, were reported 1,783 new infection cases, while 39 more people died from COVID-19, bringing the total tally to 6,410. In Serbia, were reported 15 more deaths from COVID-19, bringing the death tally to 4,398. There were also 3,588 new cases were reported in the last day. In North Macedonia, yesterday were reported 13 new deaths, bringing the death tally to 3,098. The country registered also 715 new infections. Globally, according to the John Hopkins University tracker, more than 112.7 million people have been diagnosed with coronavirus from the beginning of the pandemic. The death toll worldwide has passed 2,5 million people.
