TIRANA, Jan. 22 – The Ministry of Education and Science reported that last year some 3,500 teachers of elementary and high schools had exploited an offer of the Raiffeisen Bank for soft credit following an agreement with the institution. The total amount of the loan given to these teachers was some 1.2 billion leks.
The ministry had signed a memorandum with the bank offering such facility to some 44,000 teachers nationwide. The loan is valid for all those teachers who may ask from half a million to one million leks for up to five years repayment term. Banking commission was only two percent less than that offered from the banking network in the country. That offer continues until May this year.
