ELBASAN, Aug. 25 – A 20-year old mother in Elbasan gave birth to a shorter than usual baby, according to local gynecologists. The baby has a 35 centimeter body where legs are only 10 centimeters and the arms 6 centimeters.Gyneocologist Arben Paralloi said that was another case of many abnormal events in this area, which has been allegedly been affected from the pollution of the industrial mill built there since the communist era times. There have been other cases heard when cows come out with two heads or similar irregular developments in other animals. Besides the mother care is missing in many rural areas. But doctors say there is no concrete study on such cases.
