Bode meets with Kosova’s counterpart

TIRANA, Aug. 31 – Albanian Finance Minister Ridvan Bode met Thursday with Kosova’s Minister of Economy and Finance Haki Shatri to discuss bilateral cooperation. Shatri told Bode about the economic growth in Kosova following demand from the international community. “We are working hard and with commitment to fulfill any duty left to us so that we get near the achievement of Kosova’s final status,” said Shatri. Bode supported the idea saying that the achievements in Kosova’s finances were very important in tis road toward the status. “They should be consolidated because they are a good guarantee Kosova may offer to the international community,” he said. Bode also reassured Shatri of his government’s wish and will to complete the Durres-Kukes-Morine road that would link Albania with Kosova.
Both ministers expressed their will t further strengthen the cooperation of their finances. “Some steps have been undertaken to facilitate citizens’ movement and the commercial exchange, through lowering their cost and diminishing the bureaucracy,” said Bode, pledging more efforts to that direction.
