TIRANA, Oct. 24 – Albanian Foreign Minister Besnik Mustafaj held a telephone conversation Tuesday with the Chinese counterpart Li Zhaoxing. Besides bilateral issues it seems the phone call served more as a diplomatic effort by Tirana concerning the final status talks for Kosova. China is a permanent member of the U.N. Security Council. Mustafaj said that Tirana hoped Beijing would support the will of Kosova’s majority population and that Albania considers Kosova’s case as unique and not identical to any other issue.
