TIRANA, Nov. 6 – Former head of Albtelecom Pajtim Ajazi has been accused of abuse of post, a charge that may be sentenced with up to seven years imprisonment. Ajazi has been accused of causing the public budget a lost of some 62 million leks following a contract between Albtelecom and Hermes company signed in 2000. Baes on the law experts concluded that the company had to pay Albtelecom not only 0.5 leks per minute but also 0.42 leks per minute for the use of their phone lines. Prosecutor office has cancelled caases against two other senior Albtelecom officials.
