New rehabilitated bridge to northern Albania

TIRANA, Jan. 17 – Prime Minister Sali Berisha and other senior officials took part Wednesday at the inauguration ceremony of the end of the rehabilitation of the bridge of Kamza that will result in a great relaxation of the vehicle traffic from the capital to the northern part of the country and vice versa. Its rehabilitation cost $2.4 million and came from public funding and another $2.5 million are being used to improve the road segment from the bridge to the other spot of Ura e Tapizes. The premier also said that next month there will be held the auction of nine million euros to build a new crosslink at the entrance of the highway linking Tirana to the north. Authorities will also start the work to extend the Tirana-Milot road segment to four lanes.
