The Osumi Canyons
The Osumi Canyons are often described as the most beautiful River Canyon in Albania and in Balkans. The canyon has length only 15 km, and it is very scenic. The canyon is perfect for canoeing and rafting. Recommended for beginner paddles. There are organized canoe, kayak and rafting trips along the canyon guided from local habitants of Corovoda (city at the end of the canyon). Accommodation is very easy in Corovoda hotels.

The canyon of river Osumi is one of the most spectacular natural attractions of Albania. The best way to explore it is in spring when the snow melting and the rains make it possible to navigate with inflatable rafts through all the length of the canyon.

During this period, a good number of high waterfalls give to the canyon the charms of a dream‐like place. Trips organized by regularly by Outdoor Albania.

The drive from Berat through the scenic Osumi valley takes a bit more than one hour, and just a little later the ride goes along the amazing Canyon of Osumi. During the trip you will discover the traces of the legend of “Gropa e nuses” and “Kemba e nuses”. Arather impressive walk to “Mali i Care” and visit the spectacular entrance of the Pirogosh-cave is the ideal end of the trip.

Tomori National Park
Tomori National Park is one of the largest nature reserves in Albania, with extensive mountainous forest areas. It is situated at the north-west side of the above 2400m reaching, outstanding Mt. Tomori – The “Albanian Olymp”. At its entrances, still today we find well-cultivated mountain village communities, and very friendly inhabitants.
