When the Foreign Affairs Magazine ran an article on AGNA group last year, it described the core mission of the business group as promoting choice and variety. In fact, the AGNA group taken in the context of the difficult Albanian business climate is a story of entrepreneurship and success in the major challenge of group dynamics.
In fact, AGNA group is in charge of the majority of products that fill up Albanian market shelves and has the responsibility of safeguarding international brands and living up to their image. From chips to bottled drinks, from cigarettes to billboards and telecommunication, AGNA group does it all with a commitment to corporate values, promotion of employee talents and a strong strategy for moving forward. AGNA Group is not the type of business consortium you would expect to be static. That is why it is expanding its business activity in Banking, Construction and Tourism as well. The group’s strategy is based on several management and efficiency pillars such as: deep knowledge and comprehension of the consumers; the empowerment of the links between products and consumers; maximization of the value through the effort focused on the most important points; employees’ power release and a responsible continuous relationship with its collaborators within and outside Albania.
In a celebration with all AGNA employees, Vasil Naci, President of Agna Group reconfirmed their orientation. “Our strategies will continue to have in focus the consumers, the clients and the community,” Naci said.
The group has its own publication “AGNA Business News” which updates customers on the new products and activities organized and supported by all member companies.
Work, think and play
The members of the group are very supportive of a wide range of activities promoting youth, art and culture. Pepsi has been behind the organizing of important music events such as Top fest and Star Academy, encouraging young artists to fulfill their dreams. Amstel supported the Jazz Festival while Glina gathered students in a wonderful camp in Lura. Most importantly AGNA group knows how to invest in its own future. Helping activities such as Students in Free Enterprise is not only a marketing device for the present but an important knowledge investment for the future employees and managers of AGNA. Being socially sensitive, AGNA has backed anti-trafficking initiatives such as last year’s MTV Exit, has assisted families hit by tragedies such as the miners of Selenica showing that not only foreign corporations can display the right kind of ethics. It has also made the dreams of some of its customers true such as with the granting of apartments in its annual Pepsi lottery. This year a family of five coming from Tropoja got the apartment-the super present of Pepsi summer promotion 2007.
The preset employees get a share of the fun as well with activities such as chess competitions and soccer tournaments.
