TIRANA, Oct. 17 – President Bamir Topi is visiting NATO headquarters in Brussels, his press office reported Wednesday.
Topi is touring the NATO command in Brussels Oct. 18-19 in his first visit abroad since becoming Albania’s President in July.
Topi is to meet with NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Schaeffer and other NATO member countries’ ambassadors.
He is also will deliver a speech at the Royal Institute of International Relations. Albania is looking forward to receiving its NATO membership invitation at next year’s Bucharest summit.
