BoA approves monetary policy strategy for 2008

TIRANA, Jan.8- Central Bank of Albania (BoA) has approved an important document outlining the strategy of the bank for regulating monetary policy in 2008. According to the strategy the inflation will be targeted at 3 percent. Governor Ardian Fullani explained also that another indictor that will be attached is internal debt. The administration should be limited at borrowing no more than 25.2 billion leks, Fullani said. The cost of debt has increased substantially for the government given high interest rates and commissions applied by secondary banks for their loans.
