TIRANA, May 6 – An Albanian lost his life while
trying to illegally cross the border into Greece.
Kastriot Dedaj, 28, from Malaj village, Mirdite
district, was trying to return to Greece after Easter
but this time illegally crossing the border on foot as
his documents did not allow him to go back there.
He tried to escape Greek police following him and
a group of Albanians and slid into a cliff gravely injuring
himself. He could not survive when taken to Ioannina hospital. (Tirana Times Staff)
