The deposit portfolio of commercial banks operating in Albania totaled 363.7 billion Leks ($4.03 billion/2.95 billion euro) at the end of August, up 0.9% from a month earlier and 12.01% higher on the year.
The loan portfolio of commercial banks in Albania totaled 356.9 billion Leks ($3.96 billion/2.9 billion euro) at the end of August, up by 2.1% from a month earlier and 44.6% higher on the year.
Albania’s broad M3 money supply totaled 810 billion Leks ($9.0 billion/6.6 billion euro) at the end of August, up by 3.04% from a month earlier and 12.9% higher on the year.
Albania’s central bank sold its entire offer of 6.4 billion Leks ($70.6 million/52 million euro) in 12-month Treasury bills at an auction on Tuesday as yields fell.
Albania’s central bank will auction 7.09 billion Leks ($78.8 million/57.7 million euro) in six-month Treasury bills on October 14.
Albania’s September consumer price index (CPI) rose by 1.1% month-on-month, after a 0.6% monthly increase in August.
The gross premium income of Albanian insurers rose by 13.44% on the year to 4.57 billion leks ($52 million/37 million euro) through August
