TIRANA, March 18 – The Muslim community has started an internal fight on the alleged manipulation of the election of the existing head Selim Muca.
A group of top Muslim community personalities have indicted Muca claiming that he had rigged the election procedure.
But Muca and his supporters reacted saying that the procedures had been conducted on the basis of rules and statutes.
The Muslim community head is to be elected March 21 and candidates may enter the race until the last day.
Some members of the General Council of the Muslim community submitted to the civil court a lawsuit demanding the proclamation of the election of the myftinj in Kavaja town as invalid asking for the cancellation of elections there.
