TIRANA, March 25 – The trade exchange between Serbia and Albania last year was only $90 million with both countries aiming at raising that to $200 million over the next two years, according to Serbian Chamber of Commerce President Milos Bugarin, who was on a visit to Albania recently.
Bulgarin signed an agreement of cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TIK) of Tirana.
Albanian chamber’s head Gjoke Uldedaj said the level of economic cooperation between Serbia and Albania was far below the possibilities of the two countries.
Albania is a safe place for investments as it is expected that the Albanian economy will maintain the pace of previous years in spite of the global economic crisis, he said.
Speaking at a business forum of Serbian and Albanian businessmen in Belgrade, Bugarin said the signing of the agreement is in the interests of the economies of both countries and the companies that have developed businesses.
