TIRANA, June 3 – Swiftair Hellas has started a five-times-weekly freighter service between Athens, Thessaloniki and Tirana, Albania, on behalf of DHL, using an eight-tonne capacity, containerized ATR72.
MD Miltos Sintakis said: “I think that within the Balkan region, air freight is proving increasingly to offer the best solutions, bearing in mind that roads are often poor and unreliable.
“This ATR72 aircraft is comparatively cost effective and easy to maintain, giving great flexibility and capacity to accommodate all types of cargo.
“We continue to seek new similar niche traffic within the region to expand our activities.”
