TIRANA, Nov 9 – Prime Minister Sali Berisha met with the USAID head Roberta Mahoney to thank her for the great contribution the U.S. administration has made to Albania through the Millennium Challenge Corporation threshold program which has supported the most major reforms of the e-governance in procurements, taxes, and the establishment of the Business Registration Center and the National Licensing Center.
Berisha emphasized that these have been the major objectives of the government and a dream of all the Albanians that have become a reality.
Mahoney said that during the years of her stay in Albania there has been a brilliant cooperation with the government of Albania and appreciated the meaningful progress achieved in the fight against corruption while emphasizing that it is impressive the willingness with which the government is implementing the reforms and how Albania is advancing toward European integration.
Berisha thanked Mahoney for her great personal contribution and wished her success in the new and rather important job she will take after she leaves Albania.
