Italian company Petrolifera Italo- Rumena, which operates the oil and LPG coastal terminal in the bay of Vlora , believes that any fine imposed by the Albanian Competition Authority would threaten the EUR 70mn investment plan of the company, local media reported, IntelliNews said.
The company rejected the market domination accusations of the state institution. As noted, the antitrust watchdog launched earlier this month an investigation of the company’s activities and found that Petrolifera has allowed only one entity to unload liquid gas and did not provide such an opportunity to other licensed subjects. The company faces a fine of up to 10% of its annual turnover.
