TIRANA, July 12 – Albanian authorities have increased their preparations and commitment to cope with the influx of immigrants and other people coming for tourism in the country.
The interior ministry reported that there is a significant increase of the people in the border crossing points that have obliged them to add the number of boxes checking their passports.
Authorities have also coordinated contacts with the tourist agencies to take care of the tourists coming to the country.
The same coordination has also been set up with the counterparts in the neighboring countries like Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia and Greece.
Border management has been one of the benchmarks along the country’s efforts of getting the visa-free regime with the European Union Schengen area member countries.
