SARAJEVO, Oct. 21 – Role of inspectors in education quality assurance in South East Europe were in focus of a two-day regional conference in Sarajevo tomorrow, at the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Secretariat.
This first-of-its-kind event, co-organized with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE)’s Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, discussed the inspectors’ contribution to modernizing educational systems in South East Europe.
The inspectors tried to identify joint approaches to professional development and training at the regional level, also in view of the common background, history and transition experience in South East Europe.
The meeting gathered representatives of ministers of education and education inspectorates from South East Europe, as well as representatives of relevant international organizations and other stakeholders.
The organizers believed that regional projects in the field of education could foster knowledge transfer and exchange of good practices, as well as lower project costs in comparison to potential development of individual programmes.
