TIRANA, Dec. 13 – Albania on Monday hailed the elections held in independent Kosovo.
“These are historic elections as the first to be held after its independence,” said Foreign Minister Edmond Haxhinasto.
He added he valued the high turnout and assured Kosovo’s new government and the population that “Albania will continue to be a strong supporter for its development for more recognition of an independent Kosovo and will also be ready and fully committed to further develop bilateral ties so that Kosovo and the region are soon integrated into the European Union.”
