Traditional Reception Held For The International Day of Francophonie

TIRANA, Aug 10ؔhe Albanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the traditional reception on the occasion of International Day of Francophonie.
There were ambassadors, politicians, professors, researchers of French language and journalists invited to this event.
The reception was organized in the framework of the Francophone Spring, during which several events were held in our country. The ceremony itself marked the closing of Spring Francophonie.
In his address, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Haxhinasto stressed the importance of languages, in general, for the development of human societies and of the French language, in particular, which follows the values of humanism as well as the ideals of freedom, equality and fraternity.
Likewise, Mr. Haxhinasto praised the excellent cooperation of the Albanian Government with structures of Francophonie, as with the Secretariat of the International Organization of Francophonie and the French Alliance of Albania.
At the end, Mr. Haxhinasto handed over honorary awards to the personalities of Francophonie for the year 2011.
This year’s laureates were Mrs. Saverina Pasho, Mr. Ardian Marashi, Mr. Artan Haxhi, Mrs. Jolanda Parruca, Mrs. Svjetllana Sallabanda and Mr Faik Dini.
