Hervin Culi takes over as National Theatre director

TIRANA, Jan. 20 – Hervin Culi has been selected as the new director of the National Theatre replacing Kristaq Skrami in an effort by the new government to reform one of the most important institutions of performing arts in Albania.
Culi, who is a renowned director, was appointed in a competition organized by the Culture Ministry, beating rivals actor and director Robert Budina and actor Laert Vasili.
“Mr, ȵli was selected under a procedure where he introduced his platform on the direction of the National Theatre, which was in compliance with the policies of the Ministry of Culture,” said the ministry in a statement.
