TIRANA, June 23–Prime Minister Sali Berisha inaugurated the completion of work on the Kor諠- Qaf롐llo諠highway. The 33 km long road segment is a 2.1 million euro investment financed by the government.
“The highway is rather important for Kor衬 Bilisht, international transport and its link with the Tirana area. It is vital for Pogradec, the lake and tourism,” said Berisha during the inauguration ceremony.
The Premier, whose current legislation will be tested this Sunday in the June 28 parliamentary elections, also promised that investments in infrastructure will continue.
“We are due to begin building 70 more km on the remains of the old Egnatia – Qafe Pllo襠- Qukes road. After the building of the new Elbasan – Tirana road, Kor衠traveling distance to Tirana gets shorter; the products of this district get closer to the metropolis of this country and this marks a rather important development for all the citizens of this region,” concluded the Albanian Premier.
