TIRANA, April 2 – Ambassador Jiang Yu presented her credentials to President Bujar Nishani this week, officially taking over the duties of the top representative of the People’s Republic of China.
Madam Jiang Yu was born in Beijing in 1964, and graduated university in the Chinese capital, according to her official biography on the embassy web site.
She previously served as deputy commissioner in China’s Hong Kong special administrative region. She has also had a long career with the Chinese Foreign Ministry before that, including serving at the Chinese Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.
