TIRANA, Jan.16 –Former Prime Minister of Albania and Socialist Party MP Pandeli Majko responded to statements issued by President of Serbia accusing Kosovo of provoking war.
Majko said that Albanians are more skilled “at war rather than in peaceful times.”
According to Majko, Serbia’s similar behavior in a past caused bloodshed in the entire region and also lead to the trials of Belgrade’s leaders for war crimes in Hague.
“History taught a lot to Albanians and Serbs. Dialogue is an option of European solutions for peace in the region. War does not make you a politician. War statements do not make you brave. This is the truth,” Majko said.
“A train cannot become a church. Understanding war is an act and not a statement. Albanians have a national flaw. They are more skilled at war rather than in peace,” Majko concluded.
Pandeli Majko served as Albania’s former Prime Minister during the 1998-99 war in Kosovo.
