Interpol Athens seeks Albania’s cooperation to apprehend Balili

TIRANA, Feb. 8 – Interpol’s office in the Greek capital has urged Albania to execute an international warrant against Klement Balili, a Saranda businessman and former government official suspected of running a drug trafficking organization. On Jan. 30, officials from Interpol Greece contacted their Albanian counterparts and delivered a ruling of the Appeal Court in Athens to enforce the international warrant. Greek authorities have updated the warrant with new information in regards to the criminal activity of Balili, who has been dubbed by Greek media as “Escobar of Balkans.” “It is necessary for your side to continue searching for Balili….
