Washington. D.C, – On the occasion of the 108th anniversary of the Declaration of Indepence of Albania, Albanian-American activists announced the creation of the Pan-Albanian American Congress (PAAC). The essence of the Congress will be that of promoting Albanian and American shared values, and to help Albania in establishing a democratic society, and defend Albanian identity. The Congress will give voice to a strong community of one-million Albanian-
Americans.
It is known that throughout the history the Albanian-American community has played a crucial role in protecting Albanian interests, and promoting its unique history, culture and heritage. This Congreess will be a step further in guaranteeing the continuity of this contribution. After the creation of PAAC, a provisional Board that will coordinate the work was formed, in a session chaired by Bruno Ceka, a well-known Albanian-American activist.
