Almost 700 Afghan refugees have arrived in Tirana as of today. In an act of solidarity and support towards the US, the Albanian Government agreed to temporarily accommodate political emigrants in Albania until their US visas are processed. The Albanian government has stated they would be ready to welcome up to 4000 Afghan citizens.
