Albanian Government willing to take in up to 4000 Afghan Citizens

Almost 700 Afghan refugees have arrived in Tirana as of today. In an act of solidarity and support towards the US, the Albanian Government agreed to temporarily accommodate political emigrants in Albania until their US visas are processed. The Albanian government has stated they would be ready to welcome up to 4000 Afghan citizens. In a Facebook post, Prime-Minister Rama clarified that such decision was also based on humanitarian reasons, and stated that Albania prides itself in the fact that it has always helped those in need.
