TIRANA, Dec. 24 – The government is preparing a moratorium of two years against all hunting in Albania in an effort to revive Albania’s natural game animals.
There has been practically extinction-level hunting of many game animals in post-communist Albania.
Many foreigners, especially from nearby Italy, come regularly to the country to hunt.
The moratorium may also suspend all licenses on hunting and those who violate it may be fined up to one million leks and his weapon be confiscated.
