TIRANA, April 2 – There are an increasing number of voices urging Prime Minister Sali Berisha to reshuffle his cabinet following the current NATO summit.
A reshuffling was also hinted at by the premier during a news conference held before his leaving for Bucharest.
Also, Democratic Party lawmaker, Aleksander Biberaj, said earlier this week there should be a cabinet reshuffle following the summit. The same was also urged by another lawmaker, Prec Zogaj, and former foreign minister Besnik Mustafaj.
The governing lawmakers said the reshuffle was necessary since, following the summit, Albania will launch a new course of reforms. Concern was also voiced that some government policies are not in line with ongoing reforms.(Tirana Times Staff)
