TIRANA, Oct. 18 – The A1 television station was threatened to be shut down unless it paid a fine of 2 million leks due since June from the National Council of Radio and Television (KKRT). Taxation police went to the offices but could not impound the machinery or other equipment at that amount failing to evaluate them. The KKRT had fined the station for experimenting with some digital broadcasts without being licensed for that.
