Albania arrests 15 sought by Italy

TIRANA, Sep. 13 – Albanian police reported the arrest of 15 persons sought by Italy.
The arrests were held in several Albanian towns as part of a large joint action by the Albanian and Italian police forces, according to top policeman Hysni Burgaj.
“Those arrested in Albania are suspected of murder, drugs or human trafficking,” he said.
Albanian legal authorities have also launched an investigation into a possible money-laundering scheme and other criminal activities involving those arrested, Tirana police said in a statement.
