Albania, Denmark boost financial cooperation

TIRANA, September 6 – Albania and Denmark have signed an agreement aimed at further boosting economic and financial cooperation between the two countries. The agreement was signed last week by Finance Minister Ridvan Bode and Ambassador Karsten Ankj粠Jensen.
The deal will strengthen and regulate the political and legal framework to implement joint economic and financial programmes based on the strategic priority of each country.
The Finance Ministry said the signing of this deal will also serve to better coordinate Danish aid offering a full framework to strengthen legal and institutional development cooperation promoting the country’s economic growth, sustainable social and political development and reforms needed to bring them in line to European Union structures.
Under the agreement, Denmark will provide financial and technical assistance as well as qualification through scholarships.
