TIRANA, Feb 16 – The Scottish media reported this week that former Albanian Celtic star Rudi Vata is in a battle with a legal firm run by former referee Willie Young.
Lawyer Young’s firm, Brechin Tindal Oates, has said he has not paid a legal bill, believed to be a five-figure sum, for work done for Vata last year.
Vata, 39, now a football agent, says he has paid the bill and is contesting the action at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
Young, 50, recently retired after 25 years as a top referee.
