Albania heads the A5 ministerial

TIRANA, Oct. 15 – Albania led this week the defense ministerial of the A5 countries held in Budva, Montenegro as it is holding the chairmanship.
The last developments in the security and defense areas, their joint capacities were the topics discussed at the meeting of the five western Balkan countries of the Adriatic 5 Charter initiative which is also supported by the United States.
Minister Mimi Kodheli said that the regional cooperation in defense should be further upgraded to cope with the different threats coming to the world at these times.
In a joint statement the ministers expressed their determination to encourage peace, stability and also closer ties with the strategic allies, the NATO.
