TIRANA, July 5 – Albania and Kosovo have reached an agreement that would allow companies from the two countries to pay no customs fees for fruits and vegetables.
The move is one of the steps the governments of the two countries have pledged to undertake in their efforts of economic cooperation and joint EU integration path.
Custom authorities from the two countries met in Prizren to discuss efforts to unify the documentation and custom procedures in a similar manner to those in EU member countries.
An exchange of information on the goods agreement is already in force for Albania, Montenegro and Macedonia — and Kosovo is hoping to join it soon.
