Albania to get funding from Opec Fund

TIRANA, Sep. 24 – Albania is one of a number of countries that is to receive some funding from the Opec Fund for International Development (OFID), according to the Khaleej Times.
The OFID decided in its last session held in Vienna that $155.21 million would be used as loans to fund development projects in a number of countries, including Albania, according to Jamal Nasser Lottah, chairman of the governors board in OFID.
The financial aid targeting private projects was given to five countries including Albania, Egypt, Bahrain, Pakistan and Uganda. Albania will receive $12 million for its cement industries, Pakistan $15 million for its chemical industries, and Uganda received $3.50 million for boosting its industrial sector.
