TIRANA, Jan.13 – Albanian government has decided that all employees of the country’s public administration will undergo a test that which will help determine the level of skills of its civil servants. The decision will affect about 16,000 civil servants, while the test is scheduled for May, 2016.
First of its kind, the test consists of 100 points and will be conducted in written as well as oral form. Candidates failing to obtain a minimum of 50 points will have to go through a three-month training period under the monitoring of their direct supervisor. Civil servants falling in this category will lose their job in case they fail acquiring the necessary knowledge for their job position at the end of the training period.
The Albanian government is planning to hold similar testing every four years to ensure the civil servants’ knowledge in relation to their job position is kept up to date.
