Albanian arrested for illegal drugs

MICHIGAN, Nov. 15 – An Albanian man living in Michigan who was driving erratically on I-75 was stopped and arrested for possessing over 20 pounds of illegal pills worth around $100,000, authorities said Friday.
Nua Berishaj, 38, was charged by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with trafficking in a synthetic narcotic, possession of a schedule 1 drug, following too closely, failure to maintain lane and improper lane change.
Chief Roy Brunson said Berishaj was pulled over in a 2010 Cadillac last week Thursday for driving erratically.
Berishaj is a native of Albania.
The officer found three large bags of pills נthe total weight of it was a little over 20 pounds. It’s called TFMPP and it’s really a kind of upper level ecstasy. The street value is around $100,000.
Brunson said the department uncovered background information on Berishaj that included previous drug charges, a sexual assault and aggravated assault on a police officer in Michigan.
Berishaj was denied bond in a Magistrate Court first appearance. he will face a Superior Court bond hearing next week.
