TIRANA, Oct 20 – Belgium will soon extradite Behar Bajri, 28, to Tirana, following a request by Albanian authorities.
Bajri was arrested in Belgium last December after being wanted by Albania for conducting criminal activities in the northern Shkodra district. He had operated under a different name, while in Albania.
Bajri has been sentenced to two years imprisonment for the murder of a policeman, nine additional years imprisonment for violent threats to seize private property and considered a main suspect in a number of murders in Shkodra.
Three other Albanians were also extradited from Italy.
Kastriot Jaupi, 33, from Berat, was extradited from Italy to serve a life prison sentence for murder.
Agim Kamberaj, 49, from Fier, was sentenced to five years in prison for armed theft, while Ermal Begaj, 32, from Vlora, will serve a six year imprisonment for attempted murder.
