Albanians can travel visa-free to Croatia over summer

TIRANA, June 22 – Prime Minister Sali Berisha met last week with Croatian Ambassador Darko Javorski, learning about Zagreb’s decision to lift visas for Albanian citizens in the July 1-October 31, 2010 period as an expression of the close relations between the two countries.
That also a means to promote Albanian tourists go to Croatia.
Both countries became NATO members together last year. Croatia is a step ahead and expects to become a full European Union member in the near future, while Tirana is still waiting for a response on the questionnaire over the candidate status request.
Berisha considered that decision as an important contribution to the further consolidation of the brilliant relations between the two countries and a worthy assistance for the free movement of the Albanians in the region.
