Albania’s 2006 tax statistics show higher revenue

TIRANA, Feb.5 – Albania tax office released on the weeks start data that show its revenue collections were 77.7 billion leks ($810.5 million/626.4 million euro) in taxes last year, up 11.5 percent from 2005. Social insurance contributions in 2006 reached 36.7 billion leks, up by 45.9 percent from 2005, data showed.
