Tirana, Aug. 28 – Albanian taxation authorities shut down the two largest printing houses in Tirana, Demokracia and Eurorilindja, because of their huge debts and nonpayment of tax and other fees. Eurorilindja printing house manager Mehmet Emrullahu said the debts toward state have been caused by overdue settlement of liability by publishers toward the printing house, which prints 10 influential newspapers. On Monday, daily newspapers in Albania were printed in a few small printing houses, which forced the newspapers to cut down the edition.
