TIRANA, April 24 – Since the official launch of its 3G services in January 2012, AMC has achieved 95 percent coverage of the country’s population. This accomplishment is another groundbreaking advancement of AMC’s fastest 3G internet platform. Since the beginning of January, when the company officially launched its high-speed data transmission services, under the HSPA+ standard (Evolved High-Speed Packet Access), it provided 3G coverage in all main cities and districts’ centres throughout the country.
The 95 percent of the population coverage at the end March 2012 is yet another achievement, while the company’s representatives emphasize that a 99 percent coverage is the next milestone to be achieved in a few more months. It may sound easy to mark a progress from the coverage of 90 percent to 95 percent and then to 99 of the population, but technical rules imply a different story. “The truth is that after one covers the plain areas and the other more reachable landscapes of the country, it comes to remote areas and the higher terrains. And apart from these difficulties, our aim is to provide the same quality of service, whether it is in the centre of the capital Tirana, or a remote village,” explains Rauf Elmas, Director of AMC Technical Division.
Currently AMC provides the highest speed of 3G internet services and very convenient tariffs for its customers. Whether it is the case of prepaid or post-paid subscribers; they all have the possibility to benefit from the wide range of the most updated technology being currently used throughout the world. Through the advancement of this territorial and demographic landmark, AMC has accomplished one of its principal goals: granting maximum access to communications of premium quality.
