TIRANA, August 17 – The opposition’s request to review the budget law for 2008, because of ARMO privatization, will not be accepted. Deputy Minister of Finances, Sherefedin Shehu, said PS’s claims back in July to see the law will not be taken In consideration.
“We have drafted the law, where it was decided that internal and foreign debts will decrease by 50 percent by the sale of ARMO, while the rest will be used by the Government to increase investments,” said Shehu.
The 125 million Euros sale of ARMO brought up rough conflicts between the opposition parties and the Government. The opposition claims the budget law was modified according to the Governments needs for the profits coming from the privatization of ARMO without passing to the Parliament first.
